Creating Atmosphere
A series of artworks that are part of my exploration into landscapes, surrealism, and creating intriguing spaces.

My project explores lighting, scale, and 3D volumetrics in the context of created atmospheres, and is heavily inspired by dreamscapes, organic architecture, and the film Blade Runner 2049.
The open-source, 3D software Blender allows me to attempt to replicate and create the high-production value and visual effects of a commercial studio. As an individual, it provides a tool to express myself and try to capture/elicit the same emotions (wonder, awe, anxiety) that I felt when viewing the film Blade Runner 2049. My project is dystopic, ambiguous, and reflective on uncertain futures and spaces. How will the continued development of technology change us along with the spaces we inhabit? Will we reach a point where we, as humans, can no longer follow? How will the world grow with technology, and will technology outgrow the world?
